My last two months have been boring.
That's for: 19:44:19 <courtney176> Rendarin: I would post a journal about how it's been two months since your last one
Journal part 2, following a different suggestion:
19:44:36 <electricjonny> Rendarin: Hmm, good question, I need to update mine too
Make it something useful!
Well then here is something useful for life:
Don't forget good things people have done to you; if they did something to help you, remember it and return the goodwill one day.
Imagine it a corollary of, "do unto others as you would have done unto you."
If a friend has done you a favor (actually it doesn't even have to be a friend!), be a gentle(wo)man and be sure to return the favor to your friend in their time of need. You don't have to do exactly what they did to help you, as most probably they won't be in the same problem you were when they helped you out; just do what you can.
You can also think of this as the "favor system," but not so rigid and blind that you use it to barter and coerce people into doing things for you. That's bad and not a nice thing to do. This is less a favor system, actually, and more of a gratitude system.
Show your gratitude when somebody helps you. Yes, helping people should be done just for the sake of helping people without expecting something in return, that's the essence and idea behind being a good person and helping other. But that does not mean one should not do some returning!
Ignoring kindness will not help promote it, so don't ignore it!
This is your friendly neighborhood conscience, signing off
